Braid-y Bunch Outfit

Something about the colors in this outfit shows off my ultimate pallor, but that's okay! I wore this to a graduation party last weekend. Dresses are the simplest way to look like you tried without having to put forth much effort. I've just been in a dress mood lately too, I guess! This one was a bargain during one of Modcloth's sales. I think I paid something around $16 for it. This is the first time I got to show off the cutout back detail!

Jeanie told me I looked like I was channeling The Brady Bunch. She also told me that's what I should title this blog post because I had braids in my hair. And it was so.

Mom did my hair here and I love it. I requested something with braids and that's exactly what I got. I'm pretty sure I'll be wearing my hair up more and more often as the summer goes on since my hair has gotten so long. It's already getting stupid hot outside too.

Floral Patchwork Print Dress, Purple Cardigan, & Orange Sunglasses

Haaaappy Wednesday! Here's a simple outfit for a warm day. This dress has a really neat back, but I wanted to wear a regular bra, so a cardigan was the solution for that dilemma! I don't know why I never wore this purple cardigan with this dress before, but I like it. So many colors look nice with this dress though. 

I just took a solitary trip to the library in this outfit, but it was a nice day. I checked out 7 books, so I'll be doing plenty of awesome reading for the next couple of weeks! I'm a nerd?

Tuesday Tunes: The New Pornographers - Sweet Talk, Sweet Talk

It's not uncommon knowledge that The New Pornographers is one of my all-time favorite bands. This song is from their most recent album, Together, from 2010. I hear they're working on a new album now so I'm definitely pumped about that!I can't help but play the crap out of my New Pornographers CDs when the weather warms up. 

The first video is them performing on Letterman and it more true to the album version, the second is a more intimate version in a studio. You get to see A.C. Newman and Neko Case performing up close!

Backless Cat Print Dress over a Lace Polka Dot Blouse

It's already Monday again! Last week went by so quickly. I wore this outfit for running errands and shopping. A former style blogger, Kate, sent me this awesome cat print dress because she was cleaning out her closet. I'm pretty pumped about the evil cat print on it and the low v-back. (The cat print is evil because some of them have little red eyes!) Sometimes low backs like these are a pain, but I made the dress work with a regular bra by layering a sheer blouse underneath. It also added a little bit of print mixing!
